Disaster Prevention Training for International Students

On Thursday, October 15, 2026, we conducted a disaster prevention training for international students at the Hiroshima City Disaster Prevention Center.

The purpose of this training was to deepen participants’ understanding of natural disasters in Japan, such as earthquakes and fires, and to help them develop the skills necessary to respond appropriately in emergency situations.

A total of 12 international students participated in the program. The training included hands-on activities such as experiencing simulated earthquakes, evacuating through a smoke-filled environment, and learning how to properly use fire extinguishers. Through these practical exercises, participants gained valuable knowledge about disaster preparedness and a better understanding of the importance of taking appropriate action during emergencies.

We are committed to supporting international students in living safely in Japan by continuing to provide practical opportunities to learn about disaster preparedness and emergency response.
