Brief Abstract of Lecture:
In this lecture, Anne will draw on her 27 years experience of living in Japan as a university professor to talk about the incredible power that words have to change our lives. Not only can they make us smarter and more curious, learning why and how language is used can make us better people as we learn to see things more objectively through the lenses of speakers of other languages. Join Anne on her journey to really understand the “why” of language and how that “why” can transform our lives.
