My Learning
Breaking Boundaries Through Practical Economics and Problem-Solving
I chose EUH because I wanted to experience an innovative style of learning. Unlike traditional lecture-based education, EUH emphasizes Project-Based Learning (PBL) and interdisciplinary study, which helps me develop practical skills and think independently.
The university’s close-knit environment was another major factor. At larger, older universities, it can be difficult for individual students to bring new ideas to life due to rigid systems. I wanted to study in an environment where I could actively contribute and take the initiative to create something entirely new.
Key Classes & Real-World Economic Insights
The Ecosystem Design course that impacted me the most was Development Economics. Taught by Professor Perlaky, the class helped me build a strong foundation in core economic principles—from GDP, GNI, and Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) to concepts like “leapfrogging.”
What stood out most was how economic knowledge applies directly to daily life. We learned how to evaluate major financial decisions, like buying a car, to avoid being misled and make informed choices. Connecting history to modern economics—such as understanding how Japan’s Gentan Policy influences current rice prices—showed me that economics is a practical tool for understanding both our past and our daily financial choices.
Discovering Expertise Through Project-Based Learning
Throughout my four years, my main focus was finding my true passions and discovering my personal expertise. Through PBL, I learned to approach challenges by imagining how technology could create new solutions—even technologies that do not yet exist.
Working on problem-solving projects taught me that seemingly unrealistic ideas become achievable when broken down into small, actionable steps. Most importantly, EUH taught me that I don’t have to follow a pre-packaged “ideal path.” Instead, I can define success based on my own values and goals.

Lifelong Curiosity and Creating Meaningful Experiences in the Entertainment Industry
Vision: Continuous Learning Across Diverse Fields
My future goal is to remain a lifelong learner and continuously challenge myself outside my comfort zone. True innovation often emerges from combining ideas across different disciplines rather than following traditional, isolated paths.
I draw deep inspiration from figures like Hedy Lamarr—who balanced a successful acting career with inventing frequency-hopping technology (the foundation of modern Wi-Fi)—and Leonardo da Vinci. Their journeys remind me that boundless curiosity and cross-disciplinary creativity can drive meaningful change.
Future Career: Shaping Comfort and Inspiration Through Games
Starting next spring, I will begin my career at a mobile game company in Japan. For me, games are far more than entertainment—during a difficult period in my life, they provided comfort, motivation, and a sanctuary.
My goal is to create games that are not only enjoyable, but deeply meaningful. I want to develop interactive experiences that offer comfort, encouragement, and inspiration to people facing their own difficult times, passing forward the positive impact that games once had on me.
