My name is FUJIYAMA Misaki, and I have been entrusted with the honor of serving as the first President of the Eikei University of Hiroshima Alumni Association, newly named and established as “Eikei University of Hiroshima Alumni Association EiPit.”

First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations on the graduation of our university’s first cohort of students—an event that truly marks the dawn of Eikei University of Hiroshima. On March 24, 2025, the commencement ceremony for this memorable inaugural class was held, celebrating the departure of graduates who have embodied our university’s educational philosophy and are now setting forth to shape the future.

The name “EiPit” embodies two meanings: the “Ei” from Eikei and the “Pit” from an orchestra pit that supports stage performances. In an opera, it is the performers on stage who shine in the spotlight and receive the applause of the audience. Likewise, it is our future graduates who will illuminate society and pioneer new paths forward.

We, the alumni, aspire to be like the orchestra pit—quietly but powerfully supporting the stage—building a firm foundation and adding richness and color so that our younger peers may shine even brighter and soar higher. This aspiration is embodied in the name “EiPit.”

Moving forward, the Alumni Association will not only contribute to the continued growth and development of Eikei University of Hiroshima, but also create a place where current students and graduates can learn from and support one another.

We humbly ask for your kind understanding and warm support in this endeavor.

In closing, I sincerely wish for the further advancement of Eikei University of Hiroshima and for the continued happiness and prosperity of all those connected with our community.
