Profile

Professor Emeritus and Research Professor of Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. His specialties include digital innovation design. He served as laboratory leader, deputy director, and senior fellow at Toshiba Corporate R&D Center. He is vice president of the Society for Serviceology and board member of the Japan MOT Society. He holds a Doctor of Engineering and a PhD in Knowledge Science.

Message

As AI and other digital technologies evolve and spread, opportunities for innovation that takes advantage of these technologies are expanding, but many difficulties also exist. I am pursuing “digital innovation design,” which takes advantage of opportunities and overcomes difficulties for digital innovation.
