Career Paths of Graduates
The following are the career paths of the students (58 Students) who graduated from the Department of Social System Design, Social System Design Course in March, 2025
1. Breakdown By Industry
Of the job applicants 48 students, 44 students (91.7%) are employed by companies and organizations, and 4 students (8.3%) are employed by civil services. Of the companies, the industries with the largest number of employees are the information and communications industry (IT-related, mass media, etc.) and the finance and insurance industry (banks, non-life insurance companies, etc.). However, due to the nature of the department’s liberal arts education that integrates the humanities and sciences, the companies that have offered jobs are diverse in terms of industry, size and region, and have sprouted through the four years of study, The results reflect the interests and diverse needs of each student, which have been nurtured through four years of study.

2. Location of the Headquarters of the Companies
Of those who found employment (48 students), 20 students (41.7%) were employed by companies with their headquarters in Tokyo, followed by 18 students (37.5%) in Hiroshima Prefecture. However, even if the headquarters of the companies where they work is located in Tokyo, their assignments may be in Hiroshima or other prefectures, so the percentage of work location in Hiroshima Prefecture will be a little higher.

3. Characteristic Career Paths
Entrepreneurship education, language skills, and digital technologies such as AI and ICT, the “Graduation Project,” in which students launch their own projects and consistently work on everything from identifying bottlenecks to proposing solutions, has also been a success. Many of our students choose to pursue careers in new and growing fields such as start-ups, venture companies, foreign and global companies, and information and telecommunications companies, in addition to starting a business or carrying on the family business.
