English for Diversity
You will acquire practical English skills and become a person who understands diverse perspectives.
- All courses offered in both Japanese and English; a six-month Intensive English Program (IEP) available; more than half of graduation credits can be earned in English
- High ratio of international students and a diverse faculty including practitioners
- Daily intercultural exchange made possible through an on-campus international student dormitory (0 -minute walk) and the Port mentoring system
- Opportunities to participate in domestic and international programs such as volunteering and internships

Collaboration with Society
You will have extensive real-world experiences both inside and outside the class—gaining insights into society, building experience, and connecting with people.
- Project-Based Learning (PBL) courses that address real-world problems faced by companies and local governments (offering the highest number of credits in Japan)
- Support provided through an educational support platform council involving hundreds of companies, local governments, and other organizations
- Participation in extracurricular activities and “Student Collaboration Projects” with companies and other partners
- Opportunities to propose ideas and participate in various aspects of university governance

Support for Quests
You can freely explore and address social issues that interest you, with support to help you unlock your full potential.
- In the one-year Degree Project, students explore a chosen issue in depth
- Financial support through entrepreneurship grant programs
- Faculty and staff with diverse backgrounds provide on-demand guidance and support, leveraging the strengths of a small-scale university
- A wide range of liberal arts courses offered, spanning from the humanities and social sciences to the natural sciences
