Growing up, I was used to classrooms where students mainly listened and followed instructions. When I discovered Eikei University of Hiroshima, its active learning style immediately caught my attention. It felt like an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone. The university\u2019s diverse international environment was another factor that attracted me, as I wanted to learn alongside students from various backgrounds and gain a broader understanding of the world through their experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discovering the Power of Diversity and Flexible Problem-Solving Through PBL<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I had to describe Project-Based Learning (PBL) in one word, it would be transformative<\/strong>. PBL taught me that real-world problems rarely have a single solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most exciting parts of PBL is working with people who think differently from me. Sometimes a teammate would suggest an idea I had never considered, completely changing the direction of our discussion. These moments taught me that learning is not just about gaining knowledge from lectures, but also about learning from the people around you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through PBL, I noticed significant personal growth. I became more confident in sharing my ideas and more comfortable working with people who hold new viewpoints. It also changed how I approach problems\u2014encouraging me to look at situations from various angles and think more carefully about possible solutions. Overall, PBL has helped me become a more open-minded, confident, and adaptable learner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cultivating Global Collaboration and Foresight for Real-World Impact<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Before coming to Eikei, I mainly focused on academic knowledge. However, through PBL and other courses, I learned skills that go beyond the classroom. Working on projects connected to real social issues taught me to view problems from different perspectives and appreciate ideas that differ from my own. Another important lesson was the value of continuous learning, as many projects required me to explore unfamiliar topics and conduct research independently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the university\u2019s five competencies, I feel the greatest growth in global collaboration skills<\/strong> and foresight<\/strong>. These competencies have encouraged me to think more carefully about future possibilities and how my actions can contribute to meaningful outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Empowering the Next Generation of Youth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One of my long-term dreams is to establish an organization that supports youth. I want to provide mentorship, skills development opportunities, and information about scholarships and international programs so that young people can expand their possibilities and pursue their goals with confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By combining the knowledge and experiences I gain at Eikei, I hope to empower the next generation and contribute to positive social change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are interested in Eikei University, I encourage you to make the most of every opportunity. Looking back, I realized that every challenge I took on helped me grow. That’s why I believe it is important to be curious, get involved, and maximize your time here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eikei is not only a place to learn from classes, but also a place to learn from people, experiences, and new perspectives.
