{"id":48,"date":"2025-03-12T18:08:02","date_gmt":"2025-03-12T09:08:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eikei.dev.db-force.net\/english\/?page_id=48"},"modified":"2025-03-21T14:27:25","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T05:27:25","slug":"guide_visitors","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/eikei.ac.jp\/english\/about\/library\/guide_visitors\/","title":{"rendered":"Library Guide\uff08Visitors\uff09"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The EUH Library is open to visitors who live in or commute to Hiroshima Prefecture<br>Please see below for the details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eikei.ac.jp\/att\/01042_14385_010.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eikei University of Hiroshima (EUH) Library: A Visitors Guide<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Library Hours<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Please check the EUH Library Calendar for the latest information.<br>Please note that the schedule is subject to change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eikei.ac.jp\/english\/about\/library\/\" title=\"\">EUH Library Calendar<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Check-out<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Library Card is necessary to borrow library materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Present identification that verifies both your name and current address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition to the above, commuters to and from the prefecture are required to present their employee or student ID card.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Holders of The PUH Library card can also use the card at The EUH Library.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visitors can check out up to 5 books with a lending period of 2 weeks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can check out materials at the circulation desk or self-checkout machine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>NOTE: If you attempt to take library materials with you without the checkout procedure, you will trigger the security alarm at the library exit\/entrance. In this case, you will be asked to come to the circulation desk to check your baggage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u203bMaterials listed below are for reference only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u30fbMaterials with a \u201cForbidden\u201d label attached<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u30fbNewspapers, the latest journals etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Return<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Return items by their due date at the circulation desk or the self-checkout machine. You can use the drop box located near the library entrance\/exit during closed hours. Note that any user with overdue materials will not be allowed to borrow any additional materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Renew<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the due date comes, loan period can be extended once unless another user has requested to reserve it.<br>please bring the material to the library counter. We cannot respond to telephone requests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reserve<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can reserve materials if materials you need is out on loan or if you want to request materials from PUH campuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our rules<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Visitors can stay in the library for up to 1 hour daily during business hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep quiet so that you do not disturb other users.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t talk on your cell-phone in the library. Don\u2019t take photos in the library.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Materials on loan to you cannot be further loaned to others.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No borrowing and\/or returning materials in the name of others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No smoking in the library.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Beverage can be brought in.
