\n What countries and universities can I study in?<\/span><\/i><\/summary>\n
\n

Students can study abroad at universities that have exchange agreements with Eikei University (exchange study). Partner universities are located in North and South America, Asia, Oceania, and Europe, allowing students to study in a variety of countries and regions.\nIt is also possible to choose a study abroad destination with an external partner institution as a contact point (accredited study abroad).<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/details>\n\n\n\n

\n How much does it cost to study abroad?<\/span><\/i><\/summary>\n
\n

For exchange students, tuition fees to the host university are in principle exempted by paying the tuition fee of the University, but travel and living expenses (housing, food, insurance, etc.) are required.\nFor other study abroad programs, students are required to pay tuition fees to the host university in addition to the above.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/details>\n\n\n\n

\n Can I study abroad from my freshman year?<\/span><\/i><\/summary>\n
\n

Although it is possible depending on your coursework plan and the conditions of your study abroad destination, in general, you need to carefully consider your four-year study plan, as it requires a variety of advance preparations to study abroad.\nOur faculty and staff will support you according to your wishes, and we look forward to working with you to meet your challenges.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/details>\n\n\n\n

\n Can I study abroad for the purpose of learning a second language?<\/span><\/i><\/summary>\n
\n

It is possible to study abroad for the purpose of learning a second foreign language. However, students who do not take courses that are transferable to the University and do not receive credit may take more than 4 years to graduate. (Short-term programs using breaks between semesters are also available.)<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/details>\n\n\n\n

\n Can I study abroad for a long time and still graduate in 4 years?<\/span><\/i><\/summary>\n
\n

If a student does not take courses that are transferable to the University or do not receive credit at the host university, it may take more than four years to graduate from the University.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/details>\n\n\n\n

\n What is your housing situation while studying abroad?<\/span><\/i><\/summary>\n
\n

Depends on the program and study abroad destination. Mostly university dormitories or homestays<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/details>\n\n\n\n

\n How should I manage my money while studying abroad?<\/span><\/i><\/summary>\n
\n

Cash, credit cards*(1), international cash cards, and debit cards are the main methods of management. Although there are more opportunities for card payments abroad than in Japan, it is advisable to carry some cash as well. It is recommended to prepare for theft, etc., and to diversify risks by using multiple methods.
\n\n*(1)Credit cards Students without a certain income may not be able to apply for a credit card.\nSome student credit cards are also available for students. Please compare the conditions of each credit card carefully.\nAs for credit card brands, we recommend VISA, Mastercard, and AMERICAN EXPRESS, which are widely accepted internationally.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/details>\n\n\n\n

\n What are some useful things to bring with you to your study abroad destination?<\/span><\/i><\/summary>\n
\n

A computer and an electronic dictionary are useful. In particular, we strongly recommend that you bring a computer, as you will be using it daily for submitting reports and doing research for them.\nIn addition, you may get sick in an unfamiliar environment, and local medicines may not be suitable for you.\n\nPlease follow the rules of the airline you are flying with regarding restrictions on checked baggage such as medicines and cosmetics (liquids).<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/details>\n\n\n\n

\n Is there anything I should not bring to my study abroad destination?<\/span><\/i><\/summary>\n
\n

Import restrictions vary depending on the destination country. For details, please check the website of the immigration bureau of the destination country, customs, and quarantine information.\nExample: Australia has particularly strict restrictions on the importation of foodstuffs. If you bring in undeclared restricted items, you may be fined and in some cases prosecuted and imprisoned.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/details>\n\n\n\n

\n Can I have a part-time job at my study abroad destination?<\/span><\/i><\/summary>\n
\n

In principle, part-time work is prohibited. However, there are cases in which part-time work is permitted only on campus if certain conditions are met.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/details>\n\n\n\n

\n Can I choose the length of my stay?<\/span><\/i><\/summary>\n
\n

Three-month, six-month, and one-year options are available.\nStudents who study abroad for no more than two quarters in the academic calendar at the university can graduate in four years.\nStudents who study abroad for more than three quarters will not receive credit for the required Problem-Based Learning (PBL) courses in Japan in their second and third years, so it will take more than four years to graduate.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/details>\n\n\n\n

\n What qualifications do you have to determine English language proficiency for study abroad?<\/span><\/i><\/summary>\n
\n

Qualifications and standard scores required to study in English-speaking countries vary depending on the destination.\nTypical examples include TOEFL iBT*(1) and IELTS*(2).\n(In some cases, TOEIC scores do not apply as a requirement for study abroad.)

\n*(1) TOEFL iBT is an English proficiency test required for studying abroad, mainly in the United States and Canada.
