On Fri., Jan. 23, we will be hosting an evening lounge on the theme of ” Japan\u2019s Biodiversity: a perspective from the UK ” with Ms. BEALE Alison, Director, University of Oxford Japan Office. This will be a rare opportunity to hear directly from Ms. BEALE, so we encourage all students to attend!

Brief Abstract of Lecture:<\/strong>
Japan is beautiful! It is also a major global biodiversity hotspot with a landmass stretching over 3,000 km and a large range of endemic species.
In this talk Ms. BEALE Alison, Director of the University of Oxford Japan Office, will talk about her own experiences exploring the wildlife and natural history of Japan, as well as introducing how the University of Oxford is working to map and conserve Japan\u2019s precious plants. She will also talk about the University of Oxford\u2019s commitment to enhancing biodiversity across its spaces and describe what universities and students can do to help support biodiversity activities.
This talk will be in accessible English, include many photos and is aimed at both Japanese and international students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
