{"id":1180,"date":"2023-05-18T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-05-17T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eikei.dev.db-force.net\/english\/news\/1180\/"},"modified":"2025-03-27T12:48:36","modified_gmt":"2025-03-27T03:48:36","slug":"details_00888","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/eikei.ac.jp\/english\/news\/1180\/","title":{"rendered":"Learning from Japan&#39;s Top Experts &#8211; Public Management Theory"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"cms_text\">\n<p>At Eikei University, students study SDG-oriented <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eikei.ac.jp\/english\/academics\/feature\/liberal_arts.html\">Liberal Arts<\/a> in order to cultivate a global mindset necessary to thrive abroad.<br \/>\nTwo of Japan&#8217;s top experts in the field were invited to give lectures in one of the liberal arts subjects, &#8220;Public Management Theory&#8221; (Lecture by Dr.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eikei.ac.jp\/english\/academics\/researcher\/details_00337.html\">Toshiyuki Yasui<\/a>).<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmn_gallery col2\">\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/cmsdata\/att\/00888_12125_010.jpg\" alt=\"Mr.ENDO Toshihide\" \/><figcaption>Mr.ENDO Toshihide<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/cmsdata\/att\/00888_12125_020.jpg\" alt=\"Ms.HAYASHI Reiko\" \/><figcaption>Ms.HAYASHI Reiko<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cms_text\">\n<p>The first lecture in the Public Management class was given by Mr. Toshihide Endo, Senior Advisor to the Sony Group and former Commissioner of the Financial Services Agency, who has experience and insight from top administrative positions in the Japanese government.<\/p>\n<p>The second lecture was given by Ms. Reiko Hayashi, a member of the&nbsp;&nbsp;Expert Panel on Sustainable Finance of the Financial Services Agency, Japan&#8217;s leading expert on ESG investment and public-private partnerships, on her experience in public-private partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture was followed by a very lively interactive session and Q&#038;A session.<\/p>\n<p>They also gave lectures in the 3rd and 4th periods of &#8220;Public Management Theory&#8221; (English class).<\/p>\n<p>It was a rare opportunity to hear directly from one of Japan&#8217;s top experts.
