.<\/p>\n<p>After the final report session\u00a0in November, the students compiled their reports based on the feedback they had received from external evaluators and others, and submitted them at the end of January.<\/p>\n<p>This time, all 66 students gave poster presentations, and 10 students gave oral presentations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Opening Address (President ARINOBU\uff09<\/h2>\n<div class=\"cmn_textPhoto right\">\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/cmsdata\/att\/01656_21993_010.jpg\" \/><\/figure>\n<div class=\"text\">\n<p>Thank you very much for participating in today&#8217;s public presentation of the Eikei University of Hiroshima Degree Project.<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/english\/about\/philosophy\/\">Eikei University of Hiroshima<\/a>\u00a0opened in April 2021 and send its first graduates out into the world in the coming March.<br \/>\nThe students going to make presentations today are the first batch of EUH, and over the past four years they have been creating a new university history.<br \/>\nYou will be able to see the culmination of their learning at EUH.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cms_text\">\n<p>EUH has been aiming to establish a new educational model that is not biased toward traditional knowledge.<br \/>\nIn a society where the future is becoming increasingly uncertain, we aim to nurture changemakers who can understand the big picture of the social system in which they play an active role, draw their own dreams, and realize them to bring about positive change in society.<br \/>\nWe have named the necessary abilities as <a href=\"\/english\/academics\/competencies\/\">competencies<\/a> and have aimed to cultivate them.<br \/>\nThe degree project is also a place where the competencies that students have acquired are evaluated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cms_text\">\n<p>For the students, <a href=\"\/english\/academics\/feature\/degree_project\/\">&#8216;Degree Project&#8217;<\/a> also represents the culmination of learning at Eikei University of Hiroshima.<br \/>\nBoth students and faculty have created new learning experiences that are different from traditional university education and have made new history.<br \/>\nAlthough it may not be possible to say that new learning and the cultivation of competencies have been fully completed, I hope that you will be able to see what the students have achieved today and give us any advice you may have.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/cmsdata\/att\/01656_21995_010.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Opening Address<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Poster Presentation<\/h2>\n<div class=\"cmn_textPhoto left\">\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/cmsdata\/att\/01656_21997_010.jpg\" \/><\/figure>\n<div class=\"text\">\n<p>The 66 students were divided into two groups and poster presentations were held on the 14th and 15th floors.<br \/>\nThe students presented the projects they had worked on as the culmination of\u00a0EUH, and there was a lively exchange of views with attendees from inside and outside the University.<\/p>\n<p>Participants voted for the best poster presentations and the winners of the Best Poster Presentation Award were also decided.<br \/>\nWe will report again on the poster presentations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmn_gallery col3\">\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/cmsdata\/att\/01656_21998_010.jpg\" \/><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/cmsdata\/att\/01656_21998_020.jpg\" \/><\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/cmsdata\/att\/01656_21998_030.jpg\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Oral Presentation<\/h2>\n<div class=\"cmn_textPhoto left\">\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/cmsdata\/att\/01656_22000_010.jpg\" \/><\/figure>\n<div class=\"text\">\n<p>10 students gave 15-minute presentations.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 500px\" border=\"1\" cellspacing=\"1\" cellpadding=\"1\">\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">\u767a\u8868\u8005\u6c0f\u540d<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>OKUBO Honoka<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>MATSUURA Anna<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>NAGAI Michael Ibanez<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>TIMITE Fatoumata<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>ENOMOTO Noritaka<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>EMERI Eijaz Rafee<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>KIMURA Yuhei<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>FUKUTAKA Nanami<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>DDEMBE Francis<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>MITANI Hinako<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmn_textPhoto left\">\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/cmsdata\/att\/01656_22002_010.jpg\" \/><\/figure>\n<div class=\"text\">\n<p>Restoring Cultural Heritage Through Cultural Tourism<br \/>\nEMERI Eijaz Rafee<\/p>\n<p>EMERI analysed \u2018hidden tourist attractions in Hiroshima\u2019 from four perspectives &#8211; accessibility, foot traffic, situation and visibility &#8211; and mapped them for tourists.<\/p>\n<p>He said that he would continue to collect user requests and reviews and make improvements to make the map service more user-friendly and useful, and he presented the contents of the project to the participants in a very easy-to-understand way, showing them the map.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Closing Address (Dean YASUI)<\/h2>\n<div class=\"cmn_textPhoto left\">\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/cmsdata\/att\/01656_22005_010.jpg\" \/><\/figure>\n<div class=\"text\">\n<p>Distinguished guests, President Arinobu, esteemed faculty members, dedicated staff, and most importantly, our pioneering first cohort of graduates,<\/p>\n<p>It is with profound gratitude and great honor that I stand before you today to mark this historic occasion\u2014the first-ever Degree Project Public Presentation at Eikei University of Hiroshima. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all who have gathered here, bearing witness to the culmination of our students\u2019 rigorous intellectual endeavors and unwavering commitment to learning through practice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cms_text\">\n<p>The realization of this ambitious project has been made possible through the tireless dedication of our faculty and staff, who have steadfastly supported our students in their pursuit of academic excellence and societal impact. In particular, I wish to express my deepest appreciation to our primary and secondary advisors, whose exceptional mentorship and unwavering guidance have empowered our students to refine their ideas, navigate complexities, and bring their visions to fruition. Moreover, the invaluable insights and discerning feedback from distinguished external evaluators and members of the Experiential and Practical Learning Platform have played an indispensable role in elevating the caliber of these projects. To each of you, I offer my profound gratitude.<\/p>\n<p>To our distinguished first cohort \u2014 you have inscribed your names upon the history of this University. I implore you to continue learning, to question with courage, to collaborate with conviction, and to act with unwavering resolve.
